Different Types of Iranian Pistachios:

• Fandoghi (Round)
  Fandoghi Pistachio is smaller than other kinds of pistachio and larger than hazelnut. Because of its small size, the number of Round Pistachios in one kilogram is more than other types therefore it is more economical and has the largest volume for export. Round Pistachios are great in protein and nutritional value.it comes
  the size of 28/30, 30/32, and 32/34 nuts per ounce. Size 26/28 is also available in small quantities.
• Akbari (Super Long)
  Akbari Pistachio belongs to the long type of Iranian pistachios. Akbari has the highest shape index (longest) and the most common character to identify this type is that the height of head and end of pistachio are nearly the same. The large nuts (sizes: 20/22, 22-24, and 24/26, with 18/20 also available in small quantities)
• Ahmad Aghaei (Long)
  This type of Pistachio is one of the popular types. The reason why it is popular than the other type of pistachio is that it has the lightest shell color. It comes in sizes 22/24, 24/26, 26/28, and 28/30, with 20/22 being available in small quantities.
• Kallehghouchi (Jumbo)
  Kalleghouchi Pistachios are larger and longer compared with round pistachios. As its name suggests, this type is big and round and has its own special flavor. Sizes are 20/22, 22/24, and 24/26, with 18/20 being available in small quantities.
